Puerto Maldonado is the gateway to three of the most important national parks in the Peruvian Amazon, these natural treasures are home to an extraordinary diversity of flora and fauna.

On the Tambopata river you get to the area reserved Tambopata-known for having one of the greatest diversity of species of mammals, trees, insects and birds in the world. It is said that the Amazon is the only place which overcomes the feeling of being at the dawn of the world, aware of this diversity many travelers come to Puerto Maldonado to start a route full of emotions, considering that is one of the areas least predated than others.
