Day 1
Lima: City Tour
Reception at Jorge Chavez International Airport and transfer to hotel guided by Lima, historic downtown tour. Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, Cathedral, Archbishop's Palace, City Hall and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. San Francisco, the greatest monumental complex of colonial art in America. It continues through the residential areas of Lima, the Olive Grove of San Isidro. The pre-Inca shrines Huallamarca and Pucllana, finishing Larcomar from where you can have a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.
Day 2
Lima - Cusco (D)
Transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight to the Imperial city of Cusco. Reception and transfer to hotel. Free time for acclimatization. In the afternoon, guided tour of the Cusco Cathedral will, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko Amphitheater, the Red Fort of Puca Pucara and the water sources in Tambomachay.Pernocte in Cusco.
Day 3
Cusco - Huayllabamba (D, A, C)
Breakfast. Pick up from hotel, transportation by road to the Km. 82, in this place we will contact our porters, cooks and equipment needed for the trip, start walking along the Rio Urubamba ; day 6-7 hours to reach the archaeological site of Patallacta, Huayllabamba cross the valley, reaching Llulluchayoc where we camp and have a nice dinner and rest.
Day 4
Warmiwañusca - Pacaymayo (D, A, C)
Breakfast and start the trek to the highest point of the Inca Trail open Warmiwañusca (where women die surrounding valleys and mountains) to 4200 m, in this way we can observe different microclimates, snowy. Descend Pacaymayo to the Valley for dinner and then camped for 6-7 hours of walking.
Day 5
Pacaymayo - Puyupatamarca - Wiñayhuayna (D, A, C)
Breakfast and start the hike, climb to Runcuracay archaeological area at 3,700 meters, then continue to Sayacmarka, our walk took us to visit the archaeological group of Phuyupatamarca (City Above the Clouds) for lunch. We reinitiate our walk towards a Wiñayhuayna to 2,690 m located in jungle, visit the archaeological group of the same name, dinner and camp.
Day 6
Wiñayhuayna - Machu Picchu (D)
Breakfast and start the walk towards Inti Punku or Puerta del Sol, where we can have our first wonderful view and see the Inca city of Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour of the most important places for about 2 hours, then descend by bus to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon we board the train that will take us to the city of Cusco.
Day 7
Cusco - Lima (B)
A time transfer to airport to board the flight back to Lima. Arrival, reception and transfer to hotel. Rest of the afternoon. (Optional tour to Gold Museum and craft centers).
Day 8
Lima - Departure (B)
A time transfer to the airport for your departure.
