Pacaya Samiria National Reserve 03Days / 02 Nights
Day 1
Iquitos - Pacaya Samiria LODGE (A, C)
begin our adventure through the Peruvian jungle at the airport in Iquitos, we will then be transferred to the Manatee Refuge Center, instead of protecting this endangered species. Following our tour we arrive to the town of Nauta , the first town founded by the Spaniards in the bank Marañón River, the trip takes about 1.30 h with a distance of 97 km away.The Nauta visit the Sapi Sapi (water mirror), where species such as the paiche preserved (fish. largest of the Amazon), arawana, turtles (taricaya, charapa), a brief description of the Plaza Centenario and from there take boats of HATUCHAY Hotels- Pacaya Samiria to visit the confluence of the Ucayali and Maranon rivers confluence Ucamara (Where born the Amazon River), then we continue the journey to the lodge, where we were given a warm welcome a descendant of culture Kukama Kukamiria and also can enjoy a fruit drink station, from there we were invited to go to our cabins to leave the luggage and then have lunch. In the afternoon we have a walk of interpretation of flora and fauna in Restinga forest surrounding the Lodge, return by night tour to try to locate the demdrobates tiny frogs characterized by their bright colors and poisonous peculiarity, some of the species and the famous due to changing colors experienced during the day and overnight. Return to the lodge where we will have time for personal hygiene, dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Pacaya Samiria (D, A, C)
After breakfast we go to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, with cold lunch on board, Nauta Caño zone where we register and the entrance to the reserve. In our visit we will hike in search of pink dolphins and gray by the creek of the same name, also we will be in contact with the vast variety of flora and fauna that the reserve offers. The first thing that catches our attention is the river water that reflects with such sky, clouds, vegetation the banks and the big trees, the visitor has the sensation of navigating through endless mirrors, so Pacaya Samiria is also known as "the forest of mirrors." Also a walk of interpretation of flooded forests, where we will to see some primates and sloths, during the journey we can identify the variety of birds and a traditional fishing practice with the material used by the Amazonian man for subsistence. Immediately after the Full Day in the Reserve we go back to the lodge, to visit the crafts center (temporary) of women in the community of St. George, known for his work in natural fiber (Chambira) and wingo or pumpkin carving. After dinner the Guide will invite us into another room to share myths and legends of the Peruvian Amazon. Overnight.
Day 3
WALK IN HIGH RESTINGA (D, A, C)
After breakfast we go hiking through Restinga jungle with cold lunch returning at about noon, where we can appreciate variety of timber, a variety of characteristics of this type of forest birds, we try to see some primates and mammals up to a rustic camp to rest in hammocks and if you dare enjoy the refreshing water of a high gorge, where the guide will explain the importance of their existence and the role it plays in the afternoon will ecosistemas.Por a time-out and then dinner and overnight "An afternoon meeting with the worldview of the Amazonian man" with respect to ayahuasca program and medicinal plants
Day 4
Pacaya Samiria LODGE - IQUITOS (D)
Breakfast. Immediately after we leave by boat on the Marañon River bound for the lake where we will Shiriyacu scale fishing activities and will stop to observe the landscape that can be seen in this area of flooded forests. Upon arrival at Lodge we can have time for personal hygiene and begin our return to the airport or Iquitos according to the itinerary of the guest.
